OUR STORY
Create the Conversation began in the small rural town of Putāruru, New Zealand, on our beautiful property that has grown into a homesteader's dream. Surrounded by an expansive vegetable garden, a vibrant flower patch, a worm farm, a micro-orchard, a beehive, and a lively flock of chickens, our home is a haven for sustainability and creativity. At the heart of it all is our spacious “she-shed,” filled with boxes of art materials and centered around a large table, perfect for gathering friends and sparking creativity.
Before Create the Conversation, Baillie owned Syd Workshops, a creative workshop business in Tauranga that offered a variety of hands-on activities for both adults and children. Alongside this, Baillie worked as a freelancer in social media marketing and content creation, bringing ideas to life online.
An avid creative with a love for gardening and an ever-growing list of hobbies, Baillie started to dream of a way to combine her passions for creativity, homesteading, and storytelling.
And so, Create the Conversation was born—a movement to inspire creativity, preserve traditional skills, and connect people through meaningful conversations.
